Board of Directors
Dene is a Chartered Accountant with an MBA from Otago University and vast experience in senior management roles in the public and private sectors. Dene is currently the Chairman of Aorere Resources Limited and was formerly Chief Executive Officer of NZAX listed Pulse Energy Limited and Horizon Energy Distribution Limited in Whakatane. Prior to that, Dene was Chief Financial Officer and Company Secretary for NIWA, where he was also responsible for the coordination of their research and commercial activities in the US. Dene was also Chairman of Calgary Petroleum, which was sold to Tag Oil in 2006.
Bob is a founding director of Lateral Profiles Limited. He was previously Director of Sales and Marketing for Computer Sciences NZ – a broadly based international computer and communications company.
Prior to that, Bob was General Manager of Computertime Limited and the architect of the company’s rapid rise to becoming one of New Zealand’s most successful computer companies. Computertime Limited is also notable for the creation of Netway Communications which became one of New Zealand’s largest network providers until its sale to Telecom NZ. Bob was a founding member of the Computer Services Association of NZ and the Australasian Chair of the Hewlett Packard Dealer Advisory Council.
With over 35 years experience in the IT industry, Bob is one of its best known and most highly regarded managers.
Tuhaka Joe McLeod
Joe McLeod is an industry leader in the New Zealand IT and eCommerce market. Joe is the founder and Managing Director of Olympic Software, one of New Zealand’s best known IT businesses. Olympic Software has over 50 staff and a large client base across New Zealand and Australia.
Joe brings expertise and understanding of technology, systems and operations to the Board, and an in-depth understanding of the strategic importance of being digital and being connected.
Joe has a Master of Business Administration and three years post graduate research in Operations Research under the Advanced Management Programme at the University of Otago. He also spent four years as a Strategy and Systems consultant with KPMG Peat Marwick.
Joseph Van Wijk
Joseph is a qualified Chartered Accountant with a diverse range of international experience in investment, accounting, taxation and finance, including mergers and acquisitions in the UK and the US. He is the Managing Director of Tasman Capital, a firm that assists companies to list on the NZX. He is also the Chairman of publicly listed Pulse Energy Limited and a director of publicly listed TRS Investments Limited.
Mark brings over 15 years of experience working with publicly traded companies, mainly in the US markets and has worked with dozens of pre-listed companies and IPOs. Mark was a founder and existing shareholder of Cinapsys, now part of IRTH Communications, which consults to a number of NASDAQ listed stocks. Mark is co-founder and principal in Seraph Limited, an early-stage investor with over 30 portfolio companies under its umbrella including several New Zealand startups. Mark has participated in over 70 private placements. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Public Health with a minor in biological sciences. He has lived and done business in 7 countries in the last decade and currently calls New Zealand home.
